Easter Cookies with Sweet Bread Flavour

Ingredients

  • 750 g all-purpose flour
  • 250 g Lurpak cow milk butter
  • 250 g icing sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 vanillin
  • 50 ml brandy
  • 130 ml whole milk
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon mahlepi
  • 1/2 teaspoon mastic
  • zest of half an orange

Method

In a mixer’s bowl, using the paddle attachment, beat the butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy.

Continue mixing and add the egg yolk.

Next, add all of the dry ingredients and start mixing, gradually adding the milk and brandy.

In a minute our dough will be ready.

Form cookies in the shape and size of your preference and brush them lightly with an egg that you have previously mixed well.

Place the cookies on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

Then bake in a preheated oven, at 170 C fan, for about 20-25 minutes, depending on the oven.
