Ingredients
- 2 liters fresh milk
- 200 gr. corn flour
- 6 medium eggs
- 350 gr. Sugar
- 150 gr. cow’s butter (Lurpak)
- Orange zest
- 2 vanilla powders (vanillin)
Method
In a saucepan, combine the milk with 250 gr. of sugar and the orange zest, and heat.
In a large bowl, add the eggs, the remaining sugar, and the corn flour, and mix very
well with a whisk.
Once the milk is warm, pour about half of it into the bowl with the egg mixture, stirring
constantly with the whisk.
Then, pour the entire mixture back into the saucepan and stir until it thickens into a
firm cream.
Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and butter, and mix until the mixture is smooth
and uniform.
Pour into a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 170-180°C (340-355°F) for
about 40-45 minutes.
