- 300 g hard flour
- 1 egg
- 100 ml fresh milk
- 100 g sugar
- 50 g Lurpak cow milk butter
- 4 g dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon mastic (grated)
- 1 vanilla
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
In a bowl, add the milk, egg and sugar and whisk well.
In another large bowl, pour all the solid ingredients and mix.
Slowly add the solids to the egg mixture and mix by hand.
When it becomes a very elastic dough, add in 2-3 batches the butter that you previously melted.
After the dough has absorbed the butter, place it in a bowl that has been buttered and cover it with plastic wrap.
Place in a warm place for at least 3 hours.
Place it on a baking pan lined with parchment paper and cover with a clean towel.
Let it rise again for at least half an hour, and then immediately brush it with an egg, which has been well beaten before.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160-170 C fan, for about 25 minutes.
If desired, you can place a small baking pan with a little water in the oven while the sweet breads are baking, it will make them even fluffier.
