Ingredients
- 300 g yogurt
- 300 g sugar
- 200 g Lurpak cow milk butter
- 5 medium eggs
- 220 g self-rising flour
- 180 g fine semolina
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- zest of a lemon or orange
- 1 vanillin
For the syrup
- 600 g sugar
- 600 ml water
- lemon or orange peels
Method for the syrup
Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan and heat until they come to a boil.
Immediately after, remove from the heat.
Method for the yogurt pie
Melt the butter over low heat and pour it into a bowl.
Add the sugar and mix well with a hand whisk until completely dissolved.
While continue mixing, add the yogurt.
Finally, add all the remaining ingredients and mix until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Then, butter a baking pan, and the pour the mixture into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170 C fan, for about 40 minutes.
As the yogurt pie is hot, cut it into pieces and syrup it.
Allow an hour for all the syrup to soak in.
