Orange Cake

Ingredients 

  • 4 medium eggs
  • 250 g Lurpak cow milk butter
  • 350 g granulated sugar
  • 200 ml fresh orange juice
  • 400 g self-rising flour
  • zest of 2 oranges 
  • 1 vanilla vial

 

Method

In a mixer’s bowl add the butter and sugar, and beat with the paddle attachment on medium speed, until it takes a fluffy texture.

Then, gradually add the eggs, which have already been whipped up, and keep beating on medium speed, until completely combined. 

Right after, add the flour and orange zest, without ever stopping stirring the mixture, and then gradually pour the fresh orange juice.

Pour the batter into a well-buttered and floured cake pan, and bake in a preheated oven at 175-180 C fan for about 40-45 minutes.
