Pasta Bolognese

Ingredients 

  • 750 g ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 sweet red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 800 ml tomato juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick 
  • 3-4 allspice beans
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 spaghetti packet

 

Method 

Add the olive oil into a deep saucepan and place it over high heat.

Then, sauté the ground beef until it takes a grey color, while you torn it apart into small pieces with a wooden ladder.

When the ground beef is ready, add the finely chopped onion, and saute for 2 minutes.

Next, add the rest of the finely chopped vegetables to the saucepan and stir.

Right after, add the tomato paste along with the spices, salt, and sugar.

Finally, add the tomato sauce, stir all the ingredients together, lower heat, cover with lid, and simmer for 40-50 minutes. As soon as the meat sauce is simmering, make sure to add warm water if needed. 

While the bolognese sauce is cooking, prepare the pasta. Place a pot full of salted water over the heat, and cook the pasta according to the boiling directions on the package.

Finally, remove the cinnamon stick and spices from the meat sauce, and serve the pasta bolognese with grated cheese of your preference and freshly chopped parsley.
