Ingredients

  • 6 medium eggs
  • 320 g sugar
  • 250 ml seed oil
  • 250 ml fresh whole milk
  • 500 g self-rising flour
  • zest of 2 oranges
  • 25 g ION cocoa powder

Method

In a mixer’s bowl, using the whisk attachment, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

Once they are bubbly, continue mixing, and gradually pour the seed oil.

Continue, adding the milk.

Finally, add the flour and orange zest, and mix for one minute.

Pour half of the mixture from the mixing bowl into a jug, add the cocoa powder to the remaining half in the mixer’s bowl, and then whisk for one minute.

Add the cocoa mixture into a jug as well.

Line a 20-22 cm baking pan with parchment paper, and pour a small amount of the white mixture into the center. Then, pour a small amount of the cocoa mixture into the white mixture, and continue the same process until the mixtures are finished.

Bake in a preheated oven, at 170-180 C fan, for about 40 minutes.
