3-Ingredient Mizithra cheese pie

Ingredients

  • 200 gr. Self-rising flour
  • 200 gr. Strained yogurt
  • 200 gr. Sweet myzithra cheese Fanis’ Karamanlidika

 

Method
In a large bowl, mix the yogurt with the flour, as well as salt and pepper to taste.

Mix well with your hands until you have a homogeneous dough.

Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and, using a rolling pin, roll them out into thin
sheets, less than half a centimeter thick.

Place a large piece of mizithra cheese in the middle of each sheet and fold the dough
over the cheese to enclose it.

Using the rolling pin, carefully roll out each pie again without breaking them.

Place each pie in a non-stick pan over medium to high heat.

Flip them every 2 minutes until they are well-cooked and have reached your desired
color.

When the pies are ready, optionally garnish with honey.
