Ingredients for the cake

  • 220 g self-rising flour
  • 60 g ION cocoa powder
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 260 g sugar
  • 150 g cow milk butter
  • 200 g full-fat yogurt

For the syrup

  • 240 ml fresh milk
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 350 ml evaporated milk
  • 30 g ION cocoa powder

Method for the syrup

Mix the fresh milk and cocoa powder well.

You can also put it on the stove for about one minute to dissolve the cocoa powder completely (you do not want it to burn).

Once the cocoa powder has dissolved, add the other 2 kinds of milk and whisk to combine.

Set aside until ready.

Method for the cake

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar.

While mixing constantly, add the melted butter. Immediately after, add the yogurt.

Finally, add the rest of the ingredients and whisk until combined.

Butter and sprinkle a baking pan with a little cocoa powder and then, pour the mixture into it.

Bake in a preheated oven at 170 C fan, for 30 minutes.

When the cake is ready, poke small holes all over the top and as it is still hot, pour the syrup over it.

Allow at least 3 hours for all the syrup to soak in.
