Easy Cheese Souffle

Ingredients 

  • 12 slices sandwich bread
  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 150 g Arla mozzarella shredded cheese
  • 6 slices Havarti cheese
  • 150 g Arla pasta & gratinar shredded cheese
  • 50 g Lurpak soft
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

Cut the crust all around the edges of the sandwich bread slices. Then, spread butter on half of the bread slices, on both sides, and arrange them in a pyrex.

Right after, cover the bread layer with 3 slices of Havarti cheese, and then cover the whole surface with mozzarella shredded cheese.

Afterwards, butter the rest of the bread slices on both sides, and arrange them on top of the cheese layer.

Next, place the rest of the Havarti cheese slices on top of the second bread layer, and then add pasta & gratinar shredded cheese.

In a bowl, pour milk and eggs, add salt and pepper, and then mix well with a hand whisk until completely combined.

Right after, pour the egg-milk mixture all over the surface of the souffle and let it rest for about half an hour.

Finally, bake in a preheated oven, on the middle oven rack, at 180 C fan, for approximately 20 minutes.
