Ingredients for the dough

  • 250 ml whole milk
  • 1 packet dried yeast
  • 140 g granulated sugar
  • 90 g Lurpak cow milk butter
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 700 g strong flour

 

Ingredients for the filling 

  • 150 g Lurpak cow milk butter, room temperature
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 20 g cinnamon
  • 50 g melted Lurpak cow milk butter, for brushing

 

Method for the dough 

In a mixer’s bowl add all the ingredients and beat, using the hook attachment, at medium speed for around 5 minutes. Stir until it forms into a smooth stretchy dough.

Remove the dough from the mixer’s bowl and place it into a well-greased bowl.

Then, cover it with a towel and let it rise for around 30 minutes.

 

Method for the filling

In a mixer’s bowl add all the ingredients needed for the filling and stir, using the paddle attachment, at medium to high speed. Stir the mixture, until it gets a creamy texture.

 

To assemble 

When the dough has risen enough, dust your working surface with some flour and shape the dough into an oblong loaf by hand. Next, roll out the dough, using a rolling pin, and try to give it a rectangular shape.

Afterwards, spread the filling over the whole surface of the dough, and right after, start rolling the dough in order to create a log.

Finally, using a sharp knife, cut the log into 2-3 cm thick rolls. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and transfer the rolls into it, arranging them one next to the other.

Brush the melted butter on top of rolls and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C fan for 25-30 minutes.
