Halva with peanut butter

Ingredients

  • 250 gr. Brown sugar
  • 400 ml Water
  • 100 ml Olive oil
  • 200 gr. Fine semolina
  • 50 gr. Peanut butter
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Zest of one orange

 

Method
In a small saucepan, heat the brown sugar and water together until they form a
syrup.

Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat the olive oil and once warmed, add the fine
semolina.

Stir the semolina with a wooden spoon until it becomes toasted.

Immediately after, slowly add the hot syrup to the semolina, stirring continuously with

the spoon until the mixture thickens.

Remove from the heat and add the cinnamon, orange zest, and peanut butter. Mix
everything together one last time.

Pour the mixture into a long cake pan and allow it to cool.
