Healthy Oat Bars with Banana, Coconut and Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe medium bananas
  • 40 g honey 
  • 200 g fine oatmeal 
  • 50 g ground coconut
  • 100 g ION dark chocolate couverture 
  • ION Fondue

 

Method

In a bowl add the bananas and honey, and mash them with a stick blender or in a food processor. When the mixture takes a mushy, smooth texture add the fine oatmeal and coconut. Stir with a mariz all the ingredients together to a doughy consistency.

Cut the chocolate into pieces of your preference (big or small) and add them to the mixture. Stir again until chocolate folds in the mixture. Line a 25×35 baking pan with a sheet of parchment paper and spread the mixture to it evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 25 minutes. 

Heat the ION Fondue over a bain-marie, without covering with its lid, until it melts.

As soon as the bars are fresh from the oven, remove them along with the sheet of parchment paper from the pan and cut them to the size of your preference. Dip a fork into the melted Fondue and shake it vigorously over the bars to make lines.
