Hot Chocolate (French Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 250 g ION patisserie classic couverture
  • 200 ml fresh whole milk
  • 200 ml heavy cream 36% fat

Optional

  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 orange peels

Method

Finely chop the classic couverture, and place it in a large jug.

In a pot add milk, heavy cream, and optionally break the cinnamon stick and add it into the pot along with orange peels. Place the pot over medium heat until bubbles start to appear all around the inner edges of the pot.

Right after, remove from the stove, strain the mixture, and transfer it into the jug with the chopped couverture.

Let the couverture get hot and wait for 1 minute. Then, stir the mixture for 1 minute with a stick blender.

Finally, serve in mugs of your preference.
