Ingredients
- 350 ml water
- 300 ml orange juice
- 200 ml seed oil
- 440 g granulated sugar
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- zest of 1 orange
- 50 g ION cocoa powder
Method
Place all the liquid ingredients along with the sugar into a bowl. Stir constantly with a hand whisk until the sugar dissolves.
Next, place the rest of the ingredients into a separate bowl and mix using the hand whisk. Keep stirring until it takes a brown color.
Afterwards, add the dry ingredients to the liquid ingredients and stir slightly with the hand whisk until completely combined and a smooth batter forms.
Finally, line a 25×35 cm baking pan with parchment paper and transfer the batter into it. Bake in a preheated oven at 160-170 C fan, on the middle oven rack, for about 30 minutes.
