Ingredients
- 200 g yogurt
- 150 g granulated sugar
- zest of 2 oranges
- 150 ml sunflower oil
- 25 g baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 250 g phyllo dough sheets
- 200 ml fresh orange juice
Ingredients for the syrup
- 600 ml water
- 400 g granulated sugar
- 200 g honey
Method for the phyllo dough
A day before spread the phyllo dough sheets and leave them at room temperature until completely dry out. Then, crumble the sheets, until almost ground.
Method for the syrup
In a small pot heat the sugar, water, and honey, and let them come to a boil. When ready, remove from the heat.
Method for the mixture
Stir the yogurt, eggs, sugar, and zest of 2 oranges in a bowl. Add the sunflower oil, baking powder, orange juice, and the crumbled phyllo dough sheets.
Bake in a greased and floured baking pan in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes at 160 C fan.
Finally, when the orange pie is fresh from the oven, pour over the lukewarm syrup.
