Oven Baked Omelette

Ingredients 

  • 6 medium eggs
  • 1 ARLA light heavy cream
  • 20 g all-purpose flour
  • 25 g Lurpak cow milk butter
  • 10 ml olive oil
  • 100 g ARLA Mozzarella cheese
  • ½ teaspoon dried garlic 
  • ½ teaspoon dried onion
  • salt and pepper
  • a pinch of sugar 
  • cured meat and vegetables of your choice

 

Method 

In a bowl, place the eggs, heavy cream, flour, and salt and mix them with a stick blender, until all the ingredients are homogenized. 

Place a frying pan with a steel handle (make sure your pan has a steel handle because it is going to be placed in the oven later on) over low heat.

In the pan place the butter along with olive oil. When the butter has melted, add the mushrooms and peppers and sauté. Sprinkle with fresh pepper,  dried garlic, and onion, and also add a pinch of sugar. 

When the vegetables turn golden brown and are caramelized, pour in half of the egg/heavy cream mixture and add on top the mozzarella cheese. Then, pour the remaining egg/heavy cream mixture, and finally add the cured meat of your preference. 

Heat for 1 more minute.

Consequently, transfer the frying pan to a preheated oven and bake at 180 C fan, until golden brown.
